3 Ways Boost Your Job Satisfaction
Share
Are your Sundays spent dreading Monday? Are you simply going through the motions at work? According to the 2013 version of The Conference Board Job Satisfaction Survey, less than half of U.S. workers are satisfied with their jobs. If that rings true for you, what steps are you willing to take to increase your satisfaction [and success] at work? Below are three tips to help you enjoy your job more:

1. Manage your time better. Do you wish you had two more hours in every day? Do you wish you could double your productivity by this time next year? Well, it comes down to priorities; making time for what's most important. One activity I encourage my clients to do is the "Critical Six." At the end of each work day, write down six things you would like to accomplish the next day, in priority order. Then, the next day work on the first item on the list and don't move on to the next until that one is finished.

2. Improve your work relationships. How would you rate your relationship with your peers, boss, customers, etc.? What steps can you take to improve those relationships? It's important to network within your current company, as well as outside.

3. Develop and/or expand your brand. How do others perceive you? Are you being perceived as you would like to be? If you want to move up the proverbial career ladder, do you need to be perceived differently? If so, what steps are you willing to take to make that happen?
