Our Reason for Being (and our uncommon belief)

We exist to inspire others to do business better by modeling how.  With few exceptions, most workers today labor within job environments that are overly focused on making money.  At Agile, we recognize that profits and capital are essential to creating growth, prosperity, opportunity, and security.  But being essential doesn’t mean being the most important. 

When we work solely for money, work becomes a grind, long term business decision making can be jeopardized, and feelings of emptiness begin to pervade our lives.  And ironically, the critical skills we need to generate value—energy, creativity, active listening, and more--often become worn down to the point where we are actually less effective at making money.

Life is a magnificent gift that we enjoy most when we are serving others.  At Agile, we hold uncommon belief that you can do business better when your ultimate motivation is serving others.  Money is like oxygen—it’s absolutely necessary but it isn’t the goal. 

So what does a business motivated by service look like?  How do you actually work that out?  Answering these questions is why Agile is in business.  Every day, we use our staffing and consulting business in every department--sales, marketing, technology, operations, administration, and finance—as a testing and training ground to define what doing business better looks like.  And it’s by sharing what we learn that we provide our highest act of service—inspiring and helping others to do business better.
