Summary:At Trident Seafoods, our drivers are the key to our success. A driver is responsible for transporting goods from one location to another, by performing the following duties:

Essential Elements:

• Drives and successfully operates vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) up to and over 26,000 lbs.
• Prepares receipts for load pickups.
• Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations, if required.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive instructions.
• Loads and unloads truck if needed.
• Verify loads for accuracy and delivers them as requested.
• Inspects vehicle prior to departure and on return to ensure vehicle maintenance continuity.
• Ensures equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water are maintained.
• Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit if necessary.
• Safely removes dunnage if necessary.
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
• Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of three months' related experience and/or training.
• Certificate from an accredited CDL school

• Valid State Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• All drivers must hold a valid medical examiner's certificate, and be subject to additional random drug screens.
• Consent to and remain in good standing with the FMCSA.

Preferred Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
