VOD Technician, Media Workflows

Job Description

* Responsible for assisting with the implementation of Media Workflow systems and process development/implementation for AETN services, as directed by the Director, Media Workflow.

* Assist the Director and Manager, Media Workflow in the oversight of all workflows and systems related to incoming file delivery; encoding/transcoding; quality control; asset-management and archiving services.

* Perform necessary maintenance for all workflows on a daily basis

* Be available to assist with handling support cases throughout the building

* Work with vendors to open/handle support cases for various workflow tech used within the building

* Assist with file-based workflow design and implementation activities across EDM's Engineering, Operations and Digital Media Service groups.

* Assist during collaboration processes with technology vendors for implementation of file-based tools.

* Maintain cohesive specifications, delivery requirements and integrated workflows for AETN.

* Maintain knowledge exchange with media workflow industry organizations to ensure that all available technologies are properly considered as EDM works to provide best tools available with the best automated workflow solutions.

* Other duties as assigned

Requirements

* 2+ years' experience in media operations, enterprise-scale infrastructure operations, strategic planning.

* Significant experience in restructuring and implementing new technology/process improvement.

* Effective communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.

* Entry to mid-level experience with Vantage, Aspera and Signiant

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent on-the-job experience
