As a core member of the Human Resource/Global Business Services team in Motion, NEMA Motors, you will deliver HR (Human Resource) service assistance to the HR community, business managers and employees. You will process complex and escalated HR requests related to multiple service lines for an assigned group of employees. In this role you will be providing support to the Human Resource Business Partner and other departments as assigned. Administering programs and projects that support the facility, enhance the work/life experience encompassing all levels of the operation. Maintaining, compiling and submitting facility data as required.

This position reports to

HR Business Partner

Your responsibilities

  • Maintains electronic and hard copy files as assigned to support departmental managers in maintaining accuracy of transactional data and internal and external record keeping etc
  • Maintains, compiles and submits regulatory report data as assigned example: census data, ITAR, I-9 files etc
  • Participates in new employee orientation and other activities to enhance the new employee experience
  • Actively involved with the event planning and administration, including but not limited to, annual united way campaign and associated recordkeeping and reporting
  • Issues and tracks hourly performance reviews/evaluations to the appropriate supervisors/managers
  • Responsible for facility manpower tracking and monthly reporting
  • Continues to support transitional human resources services, assisting employees with applicant tracking, safety shoe and safety glasses, helping resolve employee benefits and retirement concerns and other tasks that enhance the work/life experience at all levels of the operation
  • Issues vacation and attendance reports semi monthly and issues counseling forms as needed
  • Verifies employment history of employees, both phone requests and written requests authorized by the employee
  • Posts and records all facility job bids
  • Other duties as assigned
Your background

  • High School diploma or equivalent required and minimum 10 to 15 years of related experience
  • Associates Degree in Business preferred
  • Individual must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of benefits and transitional 3 pillar model that is HR transformation (COE (Center of Excellence), GBS (Global Business Services), HRBP)
  • Must be proficient in administrative duties, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Individual must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to solve problems with little or no supervision
  • Must read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, policies, instructions or government regulations. Must communicate effectively (write reports, business correspondence, policies, procedure manuals and author and present information in English to individuals and to large groups)
  • Must be proficient in basic computer software, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, BUS (Baldor Unified System), etc
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
