Stamps Health Services is an outpatient ambulatory care center that provides health care and health education to students and their spouses/domestic partners. The center is located in a state-of-the-art, 40,000-square-foot facility within the Joseph Brown Whitehead Building next to our Campus Recreation Center. Stamps Health Services provides care in six areas: Primary care, Womens health, Psychiatry, Travel/Immunization/Allergy, Pharmacy, and Diagnostic Services (lab and radiology).
Provide support services in the operation and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory to include performing analyses; setup, operation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment; and maintaining stock of supplies. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. Assist and support pharmaceutical services by assisting with the stocking, preparation, and distribution of medications. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Institute health center physicians, external physicians, students requiring prescription medication and their families
Job Duty 1 Retrieve and count medication, and label containers under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
Job Duty 2 Update patient profile database with appropriate medication and dispensing information
Job Duty 3 Receives written prescriptions from patients and verified information required on prescription is complete.
Job Duty 4 May receive and assist with the processing of patient prescription refill requests.
Job Duty 5 Provide administrative duties related to operating pharmacy
Job Duty 6 Perform cashier functions for payments received for medications.
Job Duty 7 Order and replace stock in the pharmacy under direct supervision of the pharmacist.
Job Duty 8 Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Required Experience
Up to two years of job related experience
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Must be registered with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy as a Technician

SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge in the use of instrumentation and other lab equipment, laboratory processes and procedures specific to assigned lab. Skills in inventory management and the use of specialized computer applications is required.
