Overview

Job Purpose

The Lead QA Analyst (Clearing Systems) will work with users, Systems Analysts, the Development, and Project Management teams to understand the business/product/system requirements and will be responsible for building & reviewing test plan, test strategies, test scenarios, writing & executing test cases, and if you can break our systems - writing up the corresponding defects. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining QA artifacts by following the current standards along with coordinating test execution, training users, and providing user support. You will be responsible for owning specific systems and production releases from QA perspective in a hands-on role. You will be exposed to automation test frameworks and automation test script maintenance.

This position requires technical proficiency/problem solving as well as an eager attitude, professionalism, ability to interact positively and confidently and solid communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing business and functional requirements in order to produce a test plan, test strategy and test cases.
  • Perform all aspects of verification, including functional, structural, regression and system testing.
  • Participate in all aspects of a full-lifecycle development methodology, and related quality concepts and processes.
  • Deploy software release builds and maintain test environments.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work with relevant teams to define and execute on ideas to realize the opportunities.
  • Develop a strong understanding in automated testing architectures / frameworks.
  • Perform troubleshooting of software / hardware configuration problems.
  • Works with technology team in building cutting edge Clearing Systems.
  • Will build experience with Iterative and Agile software development methodologies.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 7+ years of overall QA experience in roles of increasing responsibility
  • 3+ years of working knowledge of Oracle environments with strong SQL skills.
  • 2+ years hands on experience with any programming languages like Java, Python
  • Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive test strategies and test cases.
  • Experience with both White Box and Black Box testing
  • Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to set priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux and Oracle environments with strong SQL skills.
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline.
  • Business exposure to commodity and futures markets is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and productively under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and decision-making ability.

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
