Position Summary
The Production Design Manager plays a pivotal role in operationalizing the distributed construction production process as part of the innovation team. Responsibilities encompass crafting detailed production sequences, labor resource management, and cycle time tracking. They facilitate the development of construction means and methods while maintaining critical production design data. Furthermore, the specialist defines and oversees consumables, tools, and equipment for efficient task execution, documenting their placement within Rapid Plant production stations and managing associated data.Job Responsibilities & Requirements
- Develop production sequence including activity, task, and step definition and their management
- Define and manage labor resources, skills and labor schedules
- Develop a system to track and maintain cycle times per task
- Facilitate development of construction means and methods, reflecting this into production sequence
- Develop and maintain all data associated with production design
- Define and manage consumables required to perform production sequence
- Define tools and equipment necessary to perform production tasks effectively and efficiently
- Define and document Rapid Plant production station design, including how tools and kits are placed
- Develop and maintain all data associated with consumables, tools and equipment
- Develop a system to manage all Rapid Plant assets (tools and equipment inventory)
- Develop and manage process and tasks to perform material handling at rapid plant
- Define equipment required to perform material handling at the rapid plant
- Develop a system to track and maintain material handling cycle times
- Maintain all data associated with material handling
- Define kits according to production schedule for optimal use and material handling
- Collaborate with kit center team to define kit packaging, composition and labeling
Position Qualifications

These skills include proficiency in data schema design, data dictionary management, data governance, and software requirements. Familiarity with data management tools, analytical skills for business process mapping and data integrity, and problem-solving abilities are essential. Critical thinking, attention to detail, and strong collaboration and communication skills are also important for success in this role.

Technical Skills- Pre-construction: Experience managing pre-construction processes
- Construction management: Experience managing construction projects from beginning to end, understanding of the construction phases all the way to finishes, ideally in a modular setting
- Experience defining construction rules and standards that can be applied in projects to drive quality and efficacy
- Advanced computer and data management skills: Proficiency in designing and maintaining data, including creating tables, defining fields, relationships, and constraints
- Knowledge of construction of tools and equipment
- Data Management Tools: Familiarity with data management and software requirement tools and software, such as database management systems, data modeling tools, and requirement management platforms.
- Technical Collaboration: strong collaboration skills to work effectively with technical teams in implementing data schema, data governance, and software requirements.
- Data Integrity: A keen eye for data integrity, ensuring data accuracy, robustness, completeness, and consistency across systems.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address data-related and software requirement challenges effectively.
