Vendor and Stakeholder Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, such as insurance carriers, benefit providers, and third-party administrators.

  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure effective service delivery, resolve issues promptly, and optimize the value of benefits offerings.

  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and monitor contract terms and performance agreements as needed.

  • Develop strong partnerships through ongoing and timely collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Payroll, Employee Care team, Employee Relations, HRBP's, IT, Legal and other business leaders.

Project Management:

  • Lead and coordinate various benefits-related projects, such as open enrollment, vendor, plan and/or system implementations, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.

  • Develop project plans, establish milestones, allocate resources, and monitor progress to achieve project objectives effectively.

  • Identify and implement process innovation through the efficient use of systems and tools always with a digital mindset.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of benefits professionals, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure high performance and professional development.

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Benefit Administration:

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of all employee benefits programs, including all health and welfare plans.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including but not limited to ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and IRS regulations.

  • Manage the administration and processes related to employee leave of absence, including FMLA, ADA, and other applicable state and federal regulations.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Generate regular reports and insights to senior management, highlighting key metrics and recommending actionable strategies for improvement.

File Integrations:

  • Oversee the integration of benefits data across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security.

  • Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to identify system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize data flow and accessibility.

Critical Skills/Business Experience

  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in benefits administration, with 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

  • Innovation and thinking with a digital mindset

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to manage projects effectively, from planning to execution.

  • Experience in vendor relationship management and leave of absence administration

  • Collaboration with other teams - HRIS, Employee Relations, HRBPs, IT, Payroll, Employee Care Team, Legal, etc.

  • Experience with HRIS and benefit administration systems

  • Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred, Nice to Have, Specialized Knowledge/Skills -

  • Experience working with Workday

  • Experience with Alight benefit administration

  • Experience working in a large, matrixed organization

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$104,200 - $173,600
