JOB SUMMARY

HVAC Service Apprentices will be required to assist HVAC Technicians during routine maintenance and inspections on new and existing systems.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Help install, maintain, and service a wide variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and systems.

* Replace belts and filters with assistance.

* Add refrigerants and oil to required systems.

* Clean necessary equipment and parts when needed.

* Pick up and deliver necessary parts, materials, supplies, tools and equipment.

* Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in a safe and orderly condition.

* Perform related duties that are assigned.

* Perform on call duties for after hours and weekends.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* High School graduate or GED.

* Valid Georgia driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Knowledge of standard practices and theory of the HVAC trade

* HVAC Technical school or Apprenticeship school training with 2 years' experience as a Service Technician

* Manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to HVAC trade.

* Proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies

* Follow oral/written instructions and directions

* Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

* Work cooperatively with others.

* Work independently with little direction

* Meet schedules and timelines

* Maintain routine records

* Observe legal and defensive driving practices

WORKING CONDITIIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS

* Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
