Job Description

As a Production Specialist Sr. I you will perform a variety of manufacturing tasks producing high quality medical diagnostic products while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will have the opportunity to cross-train in multiple work centers and gain new skills that can help you advance in your career.You will operate under 6S & Lean Manufacturing principles and ISO standards.You can make a difference by producing innovative products that keep people and animals healthy.

Shift Information:2rd Shift 12:00 PM to 8:00AM Monday - Friday

What you can expect in this role

  • You will read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing and quality control documents, technical procedures, and government regulations per Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • The opportunity to partner with manufacturing staff and support groups to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • To participate in continuous improvement (lean) initiatives that improve the value-added steps of the product flow.
  • You will have the chance to operate precision equipment and computer software. This will include set-up operation, clean-up, change-over, troubleshooting, and/or minor repair for manufacturing equipment in the work center.
  • The ability to work with lab equipment, solutions, and reagents.
  • Use your basic math skills add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • You will be working with a team; strong communication skills are required. You may have to provide production & process training to other employees and cross- train in other areas.
  • Complete assignments with high attention to detail, solve problems independently and as part of a team.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • You have at least 2 years or more experience in manufacturing or production.
  • You possess a High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Ideally, you'll have experience using SAP (or similar inventory management system) and MS Office (Excel) skills.
  • Youare able tomeet the physical requirements that go with working on the production floor - standing for 2hr+, sitting, computer use, extended reach,lifting upto 50lb, occasionally climb, kneel, or bend, and specific vision ability - close, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Follow all safety requirements and follow PPE for all process.
