Who you are:

You are a curious person with a keen eye for detail. Because of your interest in commercial real estate trends, you keep up to date on the local market and are keenly interested in bringing data together to tell the story. The Research Analyst Intern is responsible for tracking and data management of various forms of market research and activity to assist with presentations and pitches. You thrive on managing multiple projects and are comfortable with shifting priorities throughout the day and possess strong communications skills to help build strong professional relationships with others.

What you bring

  • Currently enrolled as a college junior or senior pursuing a degree in Business and or Commercial Real Estate or pursuing an advanced degree.
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and strong process orientation.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis, interest in developing research skills and translating data analysis into insights.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Ultimately, you bring a passion for real estate, strong intellectual capabilities, and demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Bonus skills and experience:

  • Experience in BI, data visualization and GIS tools would be an asset.
  • Previous experience working within a real estate environment.
  • Experience working within a professional services environment.

What success looks like:

  • You will capture data on market activity by observing, receiving, and otherwise acquiring information from relevant sources (including listings, comparable and others).
  • You will assist in the preparation of periodic research publications on the commercial real estate market in Atlanta.
  • Following Colliers standard processes, undertake the compilation, verification, and publication of quarterly office, industrial, retail and hospitality statistics.
  • You will assist in the compilation and creation of research resources to provide internal and external clients with accurate information and market analysis.
  • You are confident in your ability to monitor industry statistics and follow trends through report reading and current events and improve/update current projects with this information.
  • You will bring a great attitude in learning the business and local marketplace by attending local business and industry events, networking, and participating in client meetings.
