Job Description

The Payroll Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Payroll Department. Coordinates and performs administrative duties, while aligning tasks with the teams' goals and business objectives.

* Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the department and answers routine payroll questions.

* Performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of the department meeting their goals and objectives.

* Maintains databases, reports and records that are necessary to support payroll activities.

* Keeps strict confidentiality of payroll information according to company policies and procedures.

* Communicates effectively through phone, e-mail and correspondence with internal and external customers, while maintaining a professional manner.

* Provides excellent customer service through prompt responses to inquiries and routine problem solving.

* Operates a variety of office equipment to accomplish daily tasks and orders office supplies to keep consumables in stock.

* Compiles and maintains personnel files and HRIS entries.

* Carefully handles sensitive and confidential information/situation and documentation.

* Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours.

* Maintains schedules and Timecard maintenance/corrections in Kronos

Education/Certification

A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.

Years Experience

2 years or more of relevant experience.

Skills

* Knowledge and experience in payroll processes and the ability to coordinate activities for a team.

* Excellent internal and external customer service skills.

* Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations.

* Ability to solve typical problems by evaluating and selecting solutions from established options.

* Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills to drive tasks to completion.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

* Experienced in Kronos timekeeping.
