The Role

Mission:

Are you a full-time undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Engineering or Marketing? Are you interested in gaining real-world experience working in a global, international Company? If yes, this internship is for you!

Power Technique North America (a company within the Atlas Copco Group) is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student to join our team during Summer, 2024 as a full-time, PAID intern.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The person selected for this opportunity will work with the Business Line Manager/VP for portable energy and Business Development Managers to:

• Help build and develop dealer network of portable air products through research of new potential prospects and market segments.

• Coordinate with Sales Engineers and RSMs on campaigns and roll outs.

• Research upcoming Industry trade shows for potential and lead creation.

• Assist in territory development through market share analysis.

• Investigate new potential market segments for portable air products.

• Work in parallel with BDM to promote APE initiatives to RSMs.

What we expect of you?

Experience:

• Experience gained through a previous relevant internship is preferred, but not required.
• Experience related to Engineering or Marketing.
• Experience with Excel and/or SAP is a plus.

Education:

• To qualify for this internship, you should be:

  • a rising junior, senior or graduate student at an accredited college or university

  • with a major in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing or a related field of study.

  • with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0

  • eligible to work within the United States without Company support for work authorization

  • able to provide your own housing for the 10 weeks of the internship program

• Able to commit to participation in a full-time, 10-week internship program working up to 40 hours per week starting on Monday, June 5, 2024, and continuing until Friday, August 9, 2024.

Skills:

• Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college, university or technical/vocational institution.
• Eligible to work in the United States without company assistance.
• Majoring in an area of study related to the position.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Possess strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Have excellent attention to detail, be well-organized and show initiative.
• Have a strong understanding of MS Word & Excel.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities.
