Job Description

Essential Functions:
*Responsible for creating business performance action plans related to sales, profit, expenses, supplier execution, capacity, and quality to ensure meeting SSC goals and targets.
*Attracts, interviews, selects, develops, and provides direct leadership over a team of supervisors and associates that support rental product categories in the assigned area.
*Sets clear and measurable service, sales, and operational goals for the team, ensures the team's effort supports those goals, and tracks progress daily.
*Provides open and timely feedback, coaching, training, and mentorship to members of the team and encourages others to communicate openly and share constructive feedback.
*Provides meaningful development opportunities for individuals to enhance their skills, product knowledge and systems understanding.
*Identifies any associate relations concerns and takes the appropriate action as needed, handling directly where appropriate and/or escalating issues to senior management or HR.
*Utilizes real-time reporting and metrics used in tracking sales, equipment maintenance, customer service to manage overall rental HUB performance.
*Provides rental fleet oversight within the HUB - communicating fleet needs, issues, rental rates and fees, and other support needs to the SSC rental fleet support team.
*Oversees all operational programs (e.g., equipment and parts freight flow, delivery, equipment pickup, outside sales, admin office, equipment servicing and repair, etc.), driving productivity and efficiency in all non-selling activities.
*Oversees management of escalated equipment and customer service and payment issues that could impact customer service levels and/or achievement of rental HUB sales goals.
*Controls expenses including payroll and other controllable expenses and manages payroll hours by confirming the schedule supports the forecasted payroll plan.
*Partners with District and Area Staff to diagnose and address issues in a collective effort to help the rental HUB succeed while maintaining alignment with overall company strategy and mission.
*Maintains knowledge of industry service, sales and operational trends and shares and applies knowledge where possible.
*Anticipates and proactively addresses operational issues, customer flow and work demand that could impact customer service levels and/or achievement of rental HUB sales goals.
*Monitors the use of HUB shop equipment, ensuring that it is always operated safely and addressing any violations with associates.
*Oversees management of the equipment parts ordering and fulfillment process along with jobsite scheduled visits from rental HUB Mechanics.
*Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization of HUB and working areas.
*Administrative tasks within the Rental HUB facility including schedule building in in Kronos aligned with customer demand patterns
*Assists in new associate onboarding/orientation by verifying I-9 forms and other information in HR systems, confirming start date, and preparing new associate paperwork/materials
*Reconciles timecard, manages associate absences, and maintains records within scheduling system to support accurate payroll reporting
*Creates and distributes identification badges as well as work-related equipment to associates
*Supports delivery activities by monitoring and maintaining driver and back-up driver Driver Qualification Files (DQFs)
*Maintains physical documents for I-9 recertification, employee health and safety posters, associate documents (i.e. workers comp, general liability claims), garnishment forms, mail, faxes, etc.
*Operates HUB equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers).
*Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
*High School Diploma or GED
*3 years' experience leading high performing service, support, or sales associates in a retail, rental, or consumer service industry
*2 years' experience performing manager-on-duty responsibilities, including management of daily store operations and processes within and beyond assigned areas of responsibility

Preferences:
*Bachelor's Degree - Business, Management, Operations, or related field
*Ability to convert financial or operational data into actionable business steps to improve in key service metrics
*Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
*Problem solving skills and close attention to detail
*Experience in delivery planning and fulfillment
*Leadership experience with or without direct report responsibility
*Basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
*Bilingual English/Spanish
*Certification, Diploma, or associate degree in small engine repair, electronic equipment technology or electrical engineering technology
