Job Description

Georgia-Pacific Building Products seeks a seasoned Software Development Manager to lead the development and maintenance of our legacy Visual Basic ERP system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering with a specialization in Visual Basic and ERP systems, as well as proven experience in managing development teams. As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the continued functionality, optimization, and scalability of our ERP system to support our diverse business needs

What You Will Do

  • Own overall delivery and support for the OneLisa ERP system
  • Lead an international software development team (software engineers, QA engineers, business analysts) in the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of the OneLisa ERP system
  • Oversee the OneLisa Interim State team, ensuring proper support for our SAP transformation project

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and priorities in alignment with business goals and IT strategies
  • Ensure software development practices are in compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
  • Manage project budgets and resources effectively
  • Identify opportunities to increase system stability
  • Provide timely and informative communications in the event of service interruptions


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in software development with a focus on Microsoft .Net
  • Experience supporting a key enterprise application
  • Several years experience in a managerial role
  • Familiarity with database management, particularly SQL Server
  • Experience with application integration and an understanding of interface technologies (e.g., APIs, EDI)
  • Experience with agile development methodologies - scrum, kanban, etc.
