Responsible for assisting in a variety of recreational sports activities designed to meet the needs and interests of the community. Set up/take down for various events. Hours worked will range from 25 to 28 hours per week or as needed for special events...

Requirements of Work:

Education: High School diploma

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist with overseeing recreational activities and monitoring participants
* Assist with recreation sports and program's daily operations.
* Responsible for the issuance, care and maintenance of recreation supplies and equipment.
* Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with schools, public agencies, and community organizations to provide quality programs to the community.
* Assist in marketing recreation programs and events.
* Adheres to safety practices, and ensures participants do the same
* Performs under various weather conditions.
* Work harmoniously and cooperatively with fellow employees and the public.
* Check all rooms before recreational use begins and after.
* Check all facility doors and lights to ensure they are locked and lights off at end of events and upon exiting the building.
* Monitors inventory of sports supplies
* Perform all job duties as assigned

Qualifications
* Experience working in a recreational facility
* Knowledge of organized recreational and athletic activities
* Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to avoid inappropriate conversations.

Necessary Special Requirements

Valid driver's license; ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Hours: Monday through Friday flexible schedule; various weekend hours as scheduled
