Bachoco OK Foodsis seeking aBlood Technicianfor ourBaldwin, GAlocation.

Summary:Collects blood from each flock every 30 days, 30 samples per house. Collects Blood and fat samples prior to flocks processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties and/or testing may be assigned.

  • Bleeds pullets and Breeder hens as scheduled.
  • Collects fat and blood samples prior to processing
  • Prepares and delivers samples to State of Georgia Poultry Lab.
  • Makes out a weekly schedule. Assistance in the delivery of day-old pullets to the Farm.
  • Weighs and adjusts feed weekly.
  • Responsible for spraying Pullet vaccine on a weekly schedule as needed.
  • Assists Pullet Manager in weighing and moving pullets.
  • Assists Breeder Manager in weight breeder flocks.
  • Understands animal welfare policy.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Must have a valid driver's license and be able to qualify for the company driver program. Must have a blood license in Georgia.

Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
