Cooper Lighting Solutions, located in Peachtree City, Georgia is a market leader in providing innovative lighting solutions. We are seeking a world-class senior engineering program manager to drive the development and implementation of lighting fixtures and connected lighting projects that enable the world of IoT.

The nature of these projects involve mechanical, electrical, software, testing, and regulatory compliance.

You'll need to understand the who, what, and how of system development and will own the execution of the program schedule.

The Senior Program Manager will own documentation and tracking of all programs including stage gate process management, regular cadence of meetings/reviews, reporting, program metrics, and countermeasures. You'll need to be comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization, in managing conflict, removing obstacles, driving progress, and accountability.

  • Coordinates closely with project stakeholders and cross-functional teams to document project scope and objectives

  • Coordinates with core teams to maintain a project plan aligned with the stage gate product development process

  • Work with the project team to define, assess and mitigate risks that have a major impact on project cost, schedule, investment and technology.

  • Manages new product development and introductions of electrical, mechanical, software, and firmware products.

  • Works in cross-disciplinary manner with other departments (e.g., Manufacturing, Marketing, Procurement, Customer Support, Suppliers, etc.) and facilitates the stage gate processes.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

  • 5+ years of experience in program management or engineering team management of new mechanical/electrical product development and market introductions.

  • Proficient with project/program management tools such as MS Project and other bug tracking applications

  • Strong leader with excellent communication, organizational and people skills and the ability to work across functional groups

  • Proven track record of managing new product developments through a stage gate process

Compensation & Benefits:
* Salary: $91,100 -133,540 USD
* Bonus:target bonus opportunity - 10%
