Electrical Technician
DCS Infoscitex Air and Space Technology sector is seeking an Electrical Technician to support the Biodynamics Group within AFRL at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The Biodynamics Group is responsible for assessing the human response and injury tolerance of pilots and aircrew to impacts, ejections, and high-G events. The focus of this role would be to perform data collection on-site at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and abroad in remote testing locations.
Essential Job Functions:
Repair wiring assemblies to interface internal crash-test manikin and facility electronics.
Ability to solder, use hand tools, multimeter, oscilloscope, and electronics troubleshooting equipment.
Operate Data Acquisition Systems, facility controls, and high-speed cameras.
Calibrate sensors including accelerometers, load cells, and angular rate sensors.
Travel to support dynamic testing of crash-test manikins in various regions of the U.S.
Travel is sporadic but can be up to two weeks at a time, multiple times per year.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least an AS degree with at least 5 years of related Electrical/Mechanical Technician or Engineer experience. Graduate degree desirable.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: able to attain a Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.
Aptitude to build, fix, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
