The AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) helps job seekers improve their skills, obtain training, and find a job. If you're 55 or over and meet the income guidelines, we can help you enter-or re-enter-the job market. SCSEP helps you improve your skills and gain work experience and self-confidence so that you can succeed in your job search.

Action Ministries works in communities across North Georgia to provide help and hope for the hurting. We are a faith-based non-profit organization with roots in the United Methodist Church. Our programs of feeding, clothing, children’s services, emergency assistance, transitional housing, services for persons with HIV/AIDS and support in overcoming addiction and homelessness offer help in crisis today and hope for wholeness tomorrow.

The Agape Community Center opened in June of 1997 as an outreach ministry of Trinity Presbyterian Church. The Center now operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by representatives from neighborhoods, churches, and other community organizations. Our mission is to help neighborhoods built communities. To accomplish this mission, the Center provides programs and facilitates community organizing for the residents of the Bolton Road community in northwest Atlanta.

Founded in 1986, the Atlanta Children's Shelter provides free, quality day care, emotional support, an educational curriculum for homeless children, and focused social services for their families. Dedicated to helping families overcome the issues that contribute to homelessness, including domestic violence and job loss, the Atlanta Children's Shelter focuses on the long term self sufficiency of the family – which sets us apart from other Atlanta homeless shelters.

The AEC Employment Program is an employment program that addresses the unique employment needs of the homeless and those who are at risk of becoming homeless. Prevention and recovery from homelessness are our priorities, putting people to work in permanent jobs is what we do.

(CFO) provides food, financial assistance, new clothing and furniture to its constituents, and collaborates with government agencies, social service organizations, and churches to provide a continuum of services that empowers families with life skills, job training, and career counseling to encourage economic self-sufficiency for a better quality of life.
